Who we areGeneration for Change CY (GFC) is a grassroots non-profit organization composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds working together to foster a society where everyone has equitable access to opportunities in Cyprus. GFC promotes social inclusion, migrant and refugee rights, anti-racism, civic participation, and democratic engagement through research, advocacy, and EU-funded initiatives. We believe in evidence-based strategies, community-informed action, and cross-sector collaboration to drive systemic change. &nbsp;Position Title: Advocacy Manager (Full-time) &nbsp;Position Details:&nbsp;This is a full-time position based in Nicosia, Cyprus. The selected candidate can start anytime between now and April 2026, depending on availability and organizational needs. &nbsp;Salary: €1,600 - €1,900 (gross) plus 13th salary &nbsp;Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Advocacy Manager will lead and manage GFC’s advocacy portfolio, with a focus on migrant and refugee rights, civic participation, anti-discrimination, and democratic inclusion.The role combines strategic advocacy leadership, policy development, research, EU project management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that all advocacy initiatives are evidence-based, community-informed, and aligned with national and EU frameworks. &nbsp;&nbsp;1) Advocacy Strategy &amp; Project Management<ul><li>Design and implement evidence-based advocacy strategies promoting the rights and inclusion of migrants, refugees, youth, and marginalized communities.</li><li>Manage EU and internationally funded advocacy and civic participation projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with donor requirements.</li><li>Align advocacy initiatives with GFC’s strategic objectives and relevant national and EU policy frameworks.</li></ul>&nbsp;2) Policy Monitoring &amp; Position Development<ul><li>Monitor developments in migration, human rights, anti-discrimination, and civic participation policies at national and EU levels.</li><li>Draft policy briefs, advocacy reports, and position papers grounded in research and field evidence.</li><li>Develop strategic, evidence-based recommendations responding to legislative and policy developments.</li></ul>&nbsp;3) Research &amp; Evidence-Based Advocacy<ul><li>Lead or coordinate research initiatives on refugees and migrant rights, democratic participation, and inclusion.</li><li>Translate research findings into actionable advocacy strategies and policy recommendations.</li><li>Contribute to donor reports, impact assessments, and thematic publications.</li></ul>&nbsp;4) Community Engagement, Stakeholder Relations &amp; Representation<ul><li>Design participatory advocacy formats that enable migrants, refugees, youth, and civil society actors to shape advocacy agendas.Facilitate consultations, focus groups, public dialogues, and civic engagement activities.</li><li>Facilitate consultations, focus groups, public dialogues, and civic engagement activities.</li><li>Represent GFC in meetings, conferences, and advocacy coalitions at local, national, and EU levels.</li><li>Build and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers, CSOs, media, academic institutions, and advocacy networks.</li></ul>&nbsp;5) Proposal Writing &amp; Fundraising<ul><li>Develop funding proposals for EU and international donors aligned with GFC’s advocacy priorities.</li><li>Identify strategic funding opportunities and partnerships.</li><li>Ensure proposals reflect rights-based, inclusive, and community-informed approaches.</li></ul>&nbsp;6) Training &amp; Team Support<ul><li>Design and deliver training sessions on advocacy, civic engagement, and rights awareness.</li><li>Supervise and mentor junior staff and volunteers involved in advocacy initiatives.</li></ul>&nbsp;Required Qualifications and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, Human Rights, Migration Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in advocacy, policy development, or rights-based project management.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing EU or internationally funded projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of migration, asylum, anti-discrimination, or civic participation frameworks.</li><li>Experience conducting research and translating findings into policy recommendations.</li><li>Excellent writing skills in English (policy briefs, reports, proposals).</li><li>Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills.</li></ul>&nbsp;Desirable Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s degree in a relevant field.</li><li>Experience engaging directly with migrant or refugee communities in advocacy processes.</li><li>Experience organizing advocacy events, public consultations, or policy conferences.</li><li>Familiarity with EU funding instruments (e.g., CERV, AMIF, Erasmus+, Horizon).</li><li>Fluency in Greek;
